Delivery terms, payment methods and lead time: the commercial fine print

Incoterms, currencies, payment channels and the nearest port — the terms we trade on, stated in one place so purchasing departments can file them.

Delivery terms, payment methods and lead time: the commercial fine print

Purchasing teams ask the same four questions before they will open a supplier file. These are our answers, taken from the trade-capability record on the company store.

Delivery terms

Accepted delivery terms include FOB, CFR, CIF, EXW, FAS, CIP, FCA, CPT, DEQ, DDP, DDU, express delivery, DAF and DES — the full ladder from ex-works to delivered-duty-paid, so the quotation can be issued on the term your finance team prefers rather than the one that is convenient for us.

Payment

  • Accepted currencies: USD, EUR, JPY, CAD, AUD, HKD, GBP, CNY and CHF
  • Accepted methods: T/T, L/C, D/P D/A, MoneyGram, credit card, PayPal, Western Union and Escrow

Lead time and port

Average lead time is around 10 days against a confirmed specification, and the nearest port is Shanghai, which is also where consignments are consolidated and dispatched.

Working languages

The trade department handles enquiries in English, Chinese, Spanish, Japanese, Portuguese, German, Arabic, French, Russian, Korean, Hindi and Italian. Written quotations are issued in English; tell us at enquiry stage if your file needs another language.
